Help us get connected: Hundreds of nonprofit organizations, faith-based
programs, and community groups exist in Maine to provide services to low-income
children. If you are already involved with such a group, make sure they
know about KIDS Legal Aid. Let us know if they would like a guest speaker
from our staff to talk about program services or provide trainings on legal
issues affecting low-income children and youth in Maine.
Become a Partner: Many of KIDS initiatives involve partnerships with other
professions and organizations. We are always looking for new ways to increase
our capacity and ability to serve Maines low-income children. Please
contact us if you are interested in possible collaborations on behalf of
Maine low-income children and youth.
Become a Donor: KIDS financial support comes from grants and private donors.
As the demand for our services continues to
grow, we rely on community support to help increase our capacity. Contributions
are used to support direct legal services to those in greatest need. Please
consider a tax-deductible donation to help us meet the legal needs of low-income
kids in Maine.
Become a Friend: KIDS Legal Aid is always welcome to suggestions, advice,
and criticism. Whether you are on our advisory board or not, we need your
feedback and suggestions. Use our Feedback page to
send us your ideas.
Become an Advocate: Knowing the law or having a lawyer helps, but real improvement
in the lives of all kids in Maine requires a group of adults and children
willing to tell their stories to those that matter, and to stand up for others.
Our website attempts to provide links to organizations that try to influence
public and private actors who are key to changing the landscape for kids in
Maine.
