Internships
Pine Tree has furthered my interests in the law . . . and I can't help but feel that my experiences this summer, while not quite as well-paid, have been more enriching than those of my investment banking cohorts. The feelings of helping a hardworking single mom who just needs one break to get back on track, or the vulnerable client who is manipulated by a predatory bank, or the refugee from a war torn country, is something that needs to be experienced to be understood and something to which I feel fortunate to have been exposed.
- Ryan, Summer Intern 2007
Pine Tree Legal Assistance offers a variety of internship, externship and volunteer opportunities in each of our six locations around Maine. Due to budgetary constraints, most of Pine Tree's internships are unpaid. We encourage applicants to seek funding from schools, fellowships and other sources.
